[Feature] The portrayal of Jewish and Jewish-coded characters in anime – ANIME FEMINIST

Here is the article I’ve been harping on about for the last couple of months))

Thank you to @animefeminist for giving me the opportunity to write it. It was a great experience.

An addition i’d suggest on the antisemitism side: the series “Magi—the Labyrinth of Magic” features a hook-nosed old man who leads a society of wizards and passionately hates non-magicians, who he calls “goi”, treating them as subhuman and treating “goi” children with violent contempt.

There’s also the less-than-subtle nazi worship inherent in Attack on Titan, but i didn’t watch enough to see if any antisemitic stereotypes were included.

There is no Nazi worship in Attack on Titan. You guys are literally eating up with antis say.

If you didn’t watch or read it, don’t even mention it.

And from someone who has done both, I can confirm there aren’t any antisemitic stereotypes. The series is literally condemning their ideology.

There is however, a bullshit case of white saviour complex, so write about that once you catch up with the series.
