If you’re in Canada and would like to learn more about the role of Canadian women in WWI, I cannot recommend this documentary enough. It’s made up of interviews with women who were actually there, working on farms, in factories, and overseas, combined with archive footage. I don’t know if it’s available outside of Canada, but it’s really worth the watch.
Don’t let anyone forget the fact that the President of the United States skipped out on visiting military graves for Armistice Day’s 100th anniversary.

He has golfed in the rain. He was inaugurated in the rain. Other leaders–and his own subordinates–made it out there in the rain.
President Trump, though? The man who loves our troops and our country? Yeah, it’s weird that he didn’t go to the ceremony and chose to stay in his hotel room. He left our country on Veteran’s Day weekend to visit Paris for the reunion, but could not be bothered to face a little rain in order to pay his respects to the troops.
He forgets the names of the fallen. He cuts funding for veteran welfare programs. He sends our soldiers to the border for needless exercises in intimidation. Then he claims that others are weak on the military and don’t respect our troops?
What a joke.
Oh, and when I say “don’t let them forget”, I mean “every time some alt-right nutjob comes at you, hit them with that question”.
Also, if you need to cite facts:
An hour. This isn’t a “scheduling thing”, this is something that should have been planned. At the least, the President doesn’t have staff who know how to plan a trip.
The thing is, this drags military respect into the conflict.
If you want bonus points, remind them of the time Hillary got pneumonia from attending a 9/11 memorial.
Never trust someone who fetishizes the military in one breath and spits on veterans in the next; just saying.
The current excuse is that Marine One could not fly because of the weather.
Which is complete bullshit, when Marine One is designed to handle shit normal helicopters are not.
The second excuse is that a motorcade could not be arranged on such short notice. Which means either incompetent staff, because you always have multiple plans in place for such an important dignitary on such an important day. I can tell you this simply from OUR department’s handling of VIPs for events. You plan for shit.
Every other dignitary made it.
This wasn’t a mechanical or weather issue. This wasn’t an issue of not having transportation. The only thing the American team wasn’t prepared to deal with was a Toddler-in-Chief that threw a tantrum and refused to go.
He’s also the only sitting president to have never visited Troops deployed over seas.
Trump fetishizes the military, while spitting on the people. He does not care about them as anything but a prop for his ego.

MBS’s famous television program “Jonetsu Tairiku”will broadcast a feature on 23:00 November 18th, 2018 JST starring Isayama Hajime, which incorporates interviews and scenes of him setting up the last chapter of Snk!
The preview clip features scenes from his fan signing/Q&A session in Oyama as well as his recent drawing of Levi in his work studio. The voice-over says “The series called Snk is probably ending… Is this for real?!”
On the MBS program webpage, they summarize the contents of this episode as “Shingeki no Kyojin is finally approaching its ending. (But Isayama says) ‘I still have no idea why my work sells so well.’ What did this big hit mangaka draw at the end of his story?!”
Kawakubo made a tweet saying “I remember Isayama-san has turned down the offer (from Jonetsu Tairiku) about three times. But this time he accepted it with the idea “maybe this can also help promote Season 3″ in mind.”
If you are considering meeting up with someone online use this trick identify who really are who they claim to be:
1. Ask them to Skype 2. If they refuse or can’t for some reason ask for a current selfie 3. If they also refuse or can’t do not meet up with them 4. If they provide one ask them to send another with them holding 3 fingers up 5. If they refuse read step 3 6. If they provide a selfie where they show 3 fingers they are probably for real

I SAY THIS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY please spread this message as more and more young people are lured out into situations where they get kidnapped because they weren’t 100% sure the person they were talking to was real.
ALSO IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MAKE SURE YOU STATE THE FOLLOWING:
“My [fill in trusted adult here] wants to come too. [pronoun] said we can do our own thing and [pronoun] will just sort of grab [pronoun] own table, but I wanted to let you know. Hey, if you have an adult coming too they could sit together!”
If hearing this freaks the other person out and they decline, TERMINATE ALL CONTACT. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to block. I’m 26 years old and if you tell me you’re coming with a friend or parent for your own safety, I will automatically say “hey, cool. Y’know, if you’re nervous we can just do Starbucks or something, I’m okay meeting in a busy place. That way your [adult/friend] can hang out, too, and they don’t have to pay for [admission, a movie ticket, whatever].” Your safety and comfort is important to me, and is important to any good person you meet online who wants to meet up IRL. In the early 2000s when I first started seeing online safety PSAs, this was a widely-spread tip. Use it.
And for the record, you can use this over the age of 18, too. I still won’t meet people from online except in public places. You never know–that person holding up three fingers and drawing a Pokemon on their palm could be some pervert’s child, niece, nephew, family friend’s kid who was encouraged to take some silly pictures. Always voice-verify and always meet in public, with another person if possible.
